Perry, Roach, Mrs. (Versie Magdaline)

Funeral services for Versie Magdaline Perry, of Corsicana, formerly of Lockney, will be at 2 p.m. today in Bartley-Silva Memorial Chapel with the Rev. A. C. Hamilton, retired Baptist minister, officiating.

Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens by Bartley-Silva Funeral Home.

Mrs. Perry died Thursday, June 29, 2000, in Navarro Regional Hospital in Corsicana.

She was born Feb. 10, 1922, in Montague County. She owned and operated the Dixie Caf? in Lockney in the 50s and later became active farming with her husband in the Lockney area for 40 years.

She was a past officer in the Order of the Eastern Star in Floyd County as well as in Corsicana and she enjoyed playing Bingo.

On June 2, 1959, she married Roach Perry in Lockney. He died March 31, 1997.

Survivors include a son, Jo Dean Roberson of Corsicana, a daughter and her husband, Gay and Clarence Bradley of Corsicana; five brothers, Wilcey Wayne Barclay of Lakeview, William Grant and Clarence Curtis, Both of Amarillo, Sol David of Lockney and Dalton Daniel of Kingman, Ariz.; and seven grandchildren.
