Perkins, Reginal Roy, Mrs. (Wilma Lee Weeks)

Funeral services for Wilma Lee Perkins, 82, of Amarillo, will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the 11th and Amarillo Street Church Of Christ with J. Henderson, minister, officiating, assisted by Bob Thomas, Chaplain of Crown of Texas Hospice in Amarillo.

Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home.

Mrs. Perkins died at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 28, 2003, at Bivins Memorial Nursing Home in Amarillo.

She was born April 23, 1920, in the Lone Star community in Floyd County. She moved to Aiken community in 1926 where she attended schools until 1937. She then attended her senior year at Lockney High School.

She married her childhood sweetheart, Reginal Perkins, on Dec. 17, 1937. He died Aug. 5, 1985.

Mrs. Perkins and her husband farmed in Hale County until 1963. They built the Perkins Mobile Home Park east of Plainview. She sold the park in 1988 and moved to Plainview.

Mrs. Perkins was a member of the 11th and Amarillo Street Church of Christ.

Also deceased are her parents, one son and one grandson.

Survivors include two daughters and son-in-law, Kay and Don Jones of Corpus Christi and Gina McLain of Dallas; one son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Sharon Perkins of Plainview; one daughter-in-law, Brenda Perkins of Vega; one sister-in-law, Melrose Perkins of Dallas; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorial to a favorite charity or the 11th and Amarillo Street Church of Christ Buiding Fund.
