Funeral services for Billy Don ?B.D.? Perkins, 64, will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Wood-Dunning Colonial Chapel with Colquitt Nash, minister of Ninth and Columbia Church of Christ, officiating.

Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home.

Mr. Perkins died at 5:13 a.m. Friday, Sept. 29, 2000, in St. David?s Hospital in Austin.

He was born Sept. 28, 2000, in Plainview. He graduated from Plainview High School and attended Abilene Christian University. He worked for KVOP as a news man and sportscaster and worked with Tut Tawwater on Bulldog football games for any years. He retired due to ill health in 1979 and moved to Austin in 1990. He was a past president of the Bulldog Booster Club and Kiwanis Club. He had been a member of Ninth and Columbia Church of Christ.

Surviving are a daughter, Shelley Seeley of Dripping Springs; a son, Bill Perkins of Franklin, La.; a brother Darrell Perkins of Lubbock; two sisters, Peggy Breland of Paris, Texas, and Betty Raymer of Plainview; and three grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to Meals on Wheels.
