Obituary

Funeral services for Rosendo G. Perez, 68, will be at 4:30 p.m. Saturday in Wood-Dunning Colonial Chapel with the Rev. John Ohlig, pastor of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Lemons Funeral Home.
Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today in the funeral home chapel. Mr. Perez died at 7:45 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, 2002, in Covenant Hospital. He was born Feb. 12, 1934, in Beeville. He married Maria DeLeon on Sept. 23, 1961, in Plainview. He was a scout leader for many years. Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Sandra Wright of Plainview; three sons, Jimmy Perez of Alpine, Roger Perez of Borger and Russell Perez of Plainview; six brothers, Severo Perez of Plainview, Pablo Perez, Able Perez and Rodolfo Perez, all of Beeville, Enrique Perez of Oceanside, Calif., and Ray Perez of Houston; four sisters, Carmen Garcia of Plainview, Ofella Perez of Austin, Avelia Salazar of Victoria and Enedina Burkett of Beeville; and six grandchildren. A brother, Joe Perez, and a sister, Marie Garcia, are deceased.
