Obituary

Funeral services for Emilio Perez, 77, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Arsenio Rudella, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home of Plainview. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mr. Perez died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2007, at Covenant Hospital in Lubbock. He was born March 24, 1929, in Rio Grande. He married Bertha Barrera on Jan. 4, 1955. He was in the construction business and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Plainview. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Daniel Perez of Plainview and Jason Perez of Lubbock; four daughters, Norma Gutierrez and Leticia Huerta, both of San Antonio, Dianna Sanchez of Floydada and Brenda Solis of Plainview; two brothers, Crecencio Perez and Ramon Perez, both of Carrizo Springs; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. One son, two brothers and two sisters are deceased
