Obituary

Funeral services for Ambrocio R. Perez, 77, of Slaton, will be on Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Our Lady Queen of The Apostles, in New Deal, with Father John Cherolikal, officiating.

Rosary will be on Friday, Dec. 21, 2007 at 7 p.m. at Guajardo Funeral Chapels. Burial will be at Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Guajardo Funeral Chapels. He died on Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2007, at Covenant Medical Center. He was born on Dec. 7, 1930 in Runge. He married Maria Guzman on Aug. 2, 1952.

Survivors include his wife, Maria Guzman Perez; three daughters, Anita Ipock, of Dublin, Ga., Elva Marie Perez, of Slaton, and Irene White, of Seymour; six sons, Jose Perez, of Slaton, Ambrocio Perez Jr., of Clovis, N.M., Paul Perez, of Colorado Springs, Colo.., David Perez of Cameron, N.C., Lonny Perez, of Elizabeth City, N.C., and Demetrio Perez, of Fayetteville, N.C.; 21 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren; also survived by two sisters, Guadalupe Madrigal and Consuelo DeAnda, of Stratford; three brothers, Antonio Perez, of Slaton, Gomescindo Perez Jr., of Lubbock, and Nabor Perez, of New Deal; numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers: Michael Perez, of Slaton, Phillip Upshaw, of Dublin, Ga., Ben Perez, of Elizabeth City, N.C., Demetrio J. A. Perez, of Fayetteville, N.C., Anthony White, of Lubbock, and David Perez, of New Deal.

Honorary Pallbearers: Arthur Perez, Chris Perez, Patrick Perez, all of Lubbock, and Bobby Perez, of Slaton.
