Pena, Angel, Mrs. (Cruz Bernal)

Funeral Mass for Cruz Bernal Pena, 87, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with the Rev. Elbert Fadallan, pastor of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Augustin Cantu, a deacon of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home.

Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today in Wood-Dunning Funeral Home.

Mrs. Pena died at 12:05 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 1, 1999, in Integrated Health Services.

She was born Nov. 11, 1911, in Galiana, Mexico. She grew up in Georgewest and lived in Mathis before moving to Plainview in 1969. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the Guadalupanas and Adoracion Nocturna.

On April 4, 1934, she married Angel Pena.

Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Virginia Ysaguirre of Amarillo and Juanita Perez and Angelita Hernandez of Plainview; three sons, Perfecto Sr., Gilbert Sr., and Pedro Pena, all of Plainview; a brother Pablo Bernal of Georgewest; a sister, Juanita Cuevas of Georgewest; 39 grandchildren; 97 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
