Petersburg ? Funeral Services for Winnie Pearson, 77, will be at 2 p.m. Monday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. John Lowrey, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Petersburg Cemetery by Lemons Funeral Home of Plainview.
Mrs. Pearson died the Friday, Dec. 31, 1999, in her home.
She was born July 27, 1922 in the Whitfield community in Swisher County and graduated from Plainview High School in 1938. She attended nursing school at the Plainview hospital in 1939. She married Lester Pearson on Oct. 12, 1940. He died Sept. 17, 1978.
She lived in Kress and Plainview before moving to Petersburg in 1957. She was a secretary and bookkeeper at Allmon Cotton and Grain, which she and her husband co-owned and operated.
Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Gene Stinnett of San Antonio and Diana and Lynn Culp of Petersburg; a brother, Winfred Blackerby of Kress; a sister, Madelyn Hiles of Plainview; seven grandchildren and nine-great-grandchildren.
A son, Bob Pearson, died Dec. 15, 1991.
Pallbearers will be Gary Stinnett, Jason Culp, Sam Pearson, Max Pearson, Rusty Gray and David Zint.
The family suggests memorials to the Bob Pearson Scholarship Fund.
