Funeral services for Mildred Viola Pearce, 80, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church Chapel with Dr. Travis Hart, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens by Lemons Funeral Home.
Mrs. Pearce died at 12:54 p.m. Monday, Sept. 4, 2000, in Covenant Hospital Plainview.
She was born Jan. 16, 1920, in Winnsboro where she grew up and attended schools. She moved to Plainview in 1945 and worked for Cloverlake Dairy Foods and Central Plains Hospital in the supply department. She was a member of First Baptist Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
On Jan. 29, 1950, she married Raymond Pearce in Clovis, N.M. He died Sept. 3, 1999.
Survivors include three sisters, Almeta Lovell of Plainview, Vera Williams of Lancaster and Jean Wells of Farmers Branch; and several nieces and nephews.
A brother, W.C. Alvis, and a sister, Gladys Ashby, are deceased.
The family suggests memorials to the Senior Citizens Association.
