Cotton Center ? Funeral Services for Mildred Payne, 79, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Hale Center First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ken Rowland, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Hale Center Cemetery by Freeman-Abell Funeral Home of Hale Center.
Mrs. Payne died Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2001, in Hi-Plains Hospital of Hale Center.
She was born Jan. 8, 1922, in Junction. She married James C. ?Cliff? Payne on Sept. 26, 1942, in Lubbock. She had lived in Cotton Center for the past 53 years and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Hale Center.
Survivors include a son, James Clifton Payne III of Fort Worth; four daughters, Elizabeth Nicholson of Ransom Canyon, Kathy Neiman of Cleburne, Lou Payne of Temple and Julia Payne of Austin; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
