Obituary

Services for Eva Cody Payne, 83, will be 2 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 4, 2008, at North-side Baptist Church in Abernathy, with Rev. Joel Perez officiating. Burial will be in Strip Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy.

She died Dec. 2, 2008 at Lakeridge Nursing Home, in Lubbock.

She is survived by a son, Archie Cody of Lubbock; three daughters, Carolyn Springer of Lubbock, Norma Whisenhunt of Orange, Texas, Clois Reynolds of Lubbock; two sisters, Marie Stanton of New Castle, Texas, Melba Hickman of Hereford; nine grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
