Paxton, Stanley, Mrs. (Jonnie)

Graveside services for Jonnie L. Paxton, 84, of Wichita Falls, former Abernathy resident, were at 1 p.m. today in Abernathy Cemetery with Steve Gauntt, minister of Abernathy Church of Christ, officiating.

Burial arrangements were by Abell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Paxton died Thursday, Dec. 19, 2002.

She was born Nov. 1, 1918, in Hollis, Okla. She moved from Wichita Falls to Abernathy in 1965 and in 1998 moved back to Wichita Falls.

She was a member of the Church of Christ.

In 1939 she married J.D. Farrier in New Deal. He died in 1965. She married Stanley Paxton in 1983. He died Aug. 9, 1997.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Marshall Ray and Sue Farrier of Wichita Falls; a sister, Sarah Graham of Abernathy; three grandchildren; and seven great- grandchildren.
