Obituary

Memorial services for Donald "Pete" Patterson, 70, will be 2 p.m. Monday at Hale Center Church of Christ with Gary Patterson officiating. Arrangements are by Freeman-Abell Funeral Home of Hale Center. Mr. Patterson died Friday, Jan. 14, 2005, at University Medical Center in Lubbock. He was born April 25, 1934, in Slaton. He married Patsy O'Bryant on April 8, 1955, in Santa Rosa, N.M. He moved to Hale Center from Plainview in 1969. He earned the American Farmers Degree in high school and was involved in agriculture all of his life. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife; two sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Cindy Patterson of Farwell and Brian and Jeannie Patterson of Roosevelt; one daughter and son-in-law, Patti Patterson and Scott Zapalac of Lubbock; one brother, Don Patterson of Alameda, Calif.; two sisters, Opal Meeks of Lubbock and Corrine Lang of Long Beach, Calif; and five grandchildren.
