Obituary

Calvin Patridge, 89, of Plainview, died on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Mr. Jon Armstrong officiating. Burial followed in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Calvin was born Oct. 18, 1923, to Owen and Rosie Patridge in Hopkins County. He married Loyce Imogene Bacon on Aug. 3, 1942, in Sulphur Springs. She preceded him in death. He is survived by two daughters, Sheila Armstrong of Sulphur Springs and Jeanna Barnes of Plain?view; six sons, Danny Patridge of San Angelo, Greg Patridge of Lockney, Doyce Patridge of Plainview, Jerry Patridge of Oklahoma City, Okla., Steve Patridge of Post and Joel Patridge of Plainview; one sister, Ruth Nix of Greenville; one sister-in-law, Faye Patridge of Arlington; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife; his parents; one daughter, Sherry Ann Ray; two brothers, Odis Patridge and Roy Patridge; five sisters, Mary Stark, Betty Brock, Viola Groves, Addy Finch and Christine Wright; and one granddaughter, Lauren Armstrong.
