Obituary
Funeral services for Roy Paschal, 70, of Hale Center will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Bartley Funeral Home of Plainview with Dr. Travis Hart, pastor of First Baptist Church of Plainview, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Bartley Funeral Home. Roy left his family and many friends to return to our Lord on Friday, Feb. 27, 2009, at Covenant Hospital Lubbock. He was born Sept. 26, 1938, in Plainview to J.W. and Zelda Paschal. He graduated from Plainview High School and attended Lippert's Business College and Wayland Baptist College. Roy married Barbara Millard and moved to Hale Center in 1965. He worked for many years as a bookkeeper at Farmer's Gin of Edmonson. He had been semi-retired the past several years, working as a sales representative for Red River Commodities and as a self-employed bookkeeper. Roy was a former member of the Hale Center Lions Club, the Hale Center Chamber of Commerce and the Hale Center Civil Defense. He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Rhane and Tim Jeffress of Plainview and Dee and Ray Keener of Seminole; two granddaughters, Brandee Keener of Lubbock and Amanda Keener of Seminole; and one grandson, Todd Jeffress of Plainview. Roy was preceded in death by his parents. The family will greet friends from 4-6 p.m. today at Bartley Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Wayland Baptist Baseball or to a favorite charity.
