Obituary

Funeral services for Zelda Bess Paschal, 85, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Wood-Dunning Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Coats officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Wood-Dunning Funeral Home. Mrs. Paschal passed away on Monday, Aug. 27, 2007, at the Prairie House Living Center in Plainview. She was born Oct. 23, 1921, in Floyd County to C.C. and Mollie Hackney. She came to Plainview from Lockney in 1948. She married J.W. Paschal in Silverton on Oct. 10, 1937. He passed away Oct. 27, 1995. She worked for the Plainview public school cafeteria. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Plainview, the Pastors Class and TOPS Club. Survivors include one son, Roy Paschal and his wife, Barbara, of Hale Center; two granddaughters, Rhane Jeffress and her husband, Tim, of Plainview, and Dee Keener and her husband, Ray, of Seminole; two great-granddaughters, Brandee Keener of Lubbock and Amanda Keener of Seminole; and one great-grandson, Todd Jeffress. Her parents, C.C. and Mollie Hackney, two brothers and one sister are deceased.
