Parker, J.W.

Graveside services for J.W. Parker, 78, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Abernathy Cemetery with Joel Perez officiating.

Burial arrangements are by Abell Funeral Home.

Mr. Parker died Wednesday, June 20, 2001.

He was born Dec. 29, 1922, in Honey Grove. On Feb. 20, 1953, he married Nancy Hood in Tioga.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Ronald Parker of Kansas; two daughters, Freda Marcum of Allen and Mary Jane Castilleja of Lubbock; a brother, Woodrow Parker of Slaton; a sister, Ruby Pittman of Abernathy; and four grandchildren.

A son, Frank Parker, died Dec. 8, 1986.
