Obituary

Clara L. Palomo, 91, of Plainview died on Saturday, April 27, 2013. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Arsenio Redulla officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, April 29, 2013, at the funeral home. Mrs. Palomo was born on April 16, 1922, to Frank and Julia Lonzo in Austin. She married Antonio Palomo on Aug. 2, 1941, in Waco. He preceded her in death on June 9, 1997. Mrs. Palomo was a longtime Plainview resident and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She is survived by two daughters, Gloria Gonzales and husband Manuel of Plainview and Geneva Guerra and husband Santos of Oklahoma City; one son, Tony Palomo Jr. and wife Jeri of Colorado Springs; one brother, Manuel Mendoza and wife Flora of Waco; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
