Pair, Billy Edwin

Graveside services for Billy Edwin Pair, 75, of Devine, were held Thursday at 1 p.m. in Parklawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Roger Foote, pastor of Northside Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial arrangements were by Lemons Funeral Home.

Mr. Pair died at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, 2002, in a Veterans Administration Hospital in San Antonio.

He was born Sept. 26, 1927, in Slaton where he grew up and attended schools. He served with the U.S. Army and farmed in Slaton and Kress.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Kress.

Survivors include his mother, Bessie Lee Pair of Plainview; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Doris and Raymond Davis of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Martha and Jesse Willard of Stratford; and a brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Helen Pair of Plainview; 10 aunts, three uncles and several nieces and nephews.
