Obituary

Services for Guadalupe R. Paez, 85, of Abernathy will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Monte de los Olivos with Oscar Paez officiating.

Burial will be in Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Guajardo Funeral Chapels.

She died Thursday, Aug. 5, 1999, at her residence.

She was born July 26, 1914, in Rogue. She married the Rev. Luz Paez on Aug. 30, 1926, in Karnes City. She was an active member of Monte de los Olivos Church in Abernathy. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband on Oct. 9, 1965.

Survivors include six sons, Pete, Oscar and Abel, all of Abernathy, Moises of Whiting, Ind., Mercedino of Kingsville and Lazaro of Alvin; nine daughters, Eloisa Paniagua, Noemi Villegas, Ann Paez, Maria Paez, Martha Paez and Elizabeth Paez, all of Abernathy, Loana Barragan of Hereford, Irma Yedor and Angelita Duran, both of Florida; a sister, Jesusa Ramirez of Abernathy; 55 grandchildren; 68 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
