Obituary

Funeral services for Mamie L. Owen, 94, of Plainview will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 6, 2010, at Northwest Church of Christ with J. Henderson, D. Teel and Dwane Owen officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mrs. Owen died Friday, Dec. 3, 2010. She was born June 19, 1916, in Olney to Alexander and Hattie Melton McClintock. She lived in Wise County and attended schools in Petersburg. She married Arlien Owen on March 24, 1934, in Clovis, N.M. He died in 1994. She was a homemaker and a member of Northwest Church of Christ. Survivors include two daughters, Darlene Teel and husband D. and Dianna Hayes and husband Don, all of Plainview; two sons, Ken Owen and wife Jane of Austin and Dwane Owen and wife Barbara of Wichita Falls; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren with No. 8 on the way. She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. Memorials may be sent to Northwest Church of Christ Building Fund, 2000 N.
