Obituary

Rosalia Ortiz, 64, of Plainview, passed away on Friday, Sept. 4, 2009, in Amarillo. Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009, at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel in Plainview with Rev. Amado Hinojosa officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mrs. Ortiz was born on Sept. 2, 1945, in Camargo, Chihuahua, to Ramon and Josefina Guevara. She was employed by McDonald's for eight years. She was a very friendly and sociable person and also a very hard worker. She was a loving wife, mother and friend. Mrs. Ortiz is survived by her husband Ruben Ortiz of Plainview; three daughters, Maria Guadalupe Arredondo of Mexico, Gloria M. Schenk of Fritch and Socorro DeLaFuente of Borger; one son, Juan Antonio Arredondo of Mexico; one brother, Ramon Guevara of Mexico; four sisters, Evangelina Sanchez of Plainview, Rosario Sanchez of Plainview, Florencia Guevara of Mexico and Alicia Guevara of Mexico; eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
