Obituary

HALE CENTER -- Memorial services for Luis Aguilar Ortiz, 47, of Hale Center, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the St. Mary Magdelen Catholic Church in Floydada. Arrangements are by Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home of Floydada. Mr. Ortiz died Thursday, March 31, 2005, at University Medical Center in Lubbock. He was born Nov. 16, 1957, in Raymondville to the late Nicalos and Virginia Ortiz. He moved to Hale Center from Raymondville in 1974 and worked at Attebury Grain in Lockney. Survivors include two sons, Luiz Ortiz Jr. and Roland Ortiz, both of Garden City, Kan.; his mother, Virginia Ortiz of Hale Center; two brothers, Joe Ortiz of Plainview and Nicalos Ortiz Jr. of Lubbock; and three sisters, Anita Gutierrez of Hale Center, Virginia Flores of Plainview and Charlene Ortiz of Floydada.
