Raul Ortegon Sr. Services for Raul Ortegon Sr., 77, of Plainview will be at 10 a.m. today, Sept. 24, 2013, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Plainview with Arsenio Redulla of Sacred Heart Catholic Church officiating. Burial will be at Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. The rosary was said at 7 p.m. Monday at Bartley Funeral Home. Mr. Ortegon died Sept. 21, 2013, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock. He was born June 30, 1936, in Bishop, Texas, to Teodora and Martin Ortegon. He married Juanita Ann Grant on Nov.12, 1958, in Lubbock. Mr. Ortegon was self-employed in the carpet business in Plainview. He is survived by his wife Juanita of the home; three sons, Raul Ortegon Jr. and wife Lydia, Randy Ortegon and wife Gloria, both of Plainview, and Ronnie Ortegon and wife Gina of Allen, Texas; two daughters, Lorrene Mata and husband Lokey of Amarillo, and Kaylene Wheeler and husband Jason of Plainview; one brother, Baldormero Ortegon and wife Sylvia of Plainview; one sister, Guadalupe Perez and husband Fred of Modesto, Calif.; 12 grandchildren, Krystal, Mystie, Lyndsie, Trey, Jeremy, Jason, Jayden, Nathan, Karli, Elena, Erika and Ana; and eight great-grandchildren.
