Abernathy ? Funeral Mass for Manuel Olguin, 83, will be at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Isidore Catholic Church with the Rev. Luis Dussan, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Abernathy Cemetery by Abell Funeral Home.
Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today in the same church.
Mr. Olguin died Wednesday morning, Jan. 13, 1999, in Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.
He was born Sept. 4, 1915, in Abilene. He was a lifelong resident of Abernathy and was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church.
In 1933, he married Luisa Castillo in Lubbock. She died June 28, 1969.
Survivors include four sons, Tony Olguin of Lubbock, Frank Olguin of Plainview, and Luis and Ruben Olguin, both of Abernathy; nine daughters, Manuela Gaona, Mary Garcia, Dominga Olguin, Irene Betancur and Ramona Olguin, all of Lubbock, Josie Soto of Roswell, N.M., Adelina Figeroa of Wolfforth, Margaret Olivas and Lupe Hernandez both of Abernathy; 32 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Janie Ramirez, died Feb. 26, 1980.
