Obituary

Funeral Mass for Julia Olbeda, 75, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Arsenio Redulla officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home. A rosary will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Olbeda died Saturday, May 2, 2009. She was born Jan. 7, 1934, in Brownwood to Juan and Ramona Martinez. She married Abelardo Olbeda on Sept. 19, 1950, in Portales, N.M. He died April 10, 2005. She was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Adan and Janie Olbeda of Petersburg; one daughter, Anna Perez of Plainview; four sisters, Maria Martinez of Plainview, Carolina Jacques of Thousand Oaks, Calif., Viviana Trevino of Grand Prairie and Chelo Consuelo Durante of Laredo; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
