Obituary

Funeral services for Marjorie Moore Nowell, 90, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Ninth and Columbia Church of Christ in Plainview with Jim Brewer officiating. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens by Lemons Funeral Home. Mrs. Nowell died Sunday, Feb. 5, 2006, in a Lubbock hospital. She was born Sept. 22, 1915, in Pottsville in Hamilton County to J.W. Moore and Betty Glover Moore. She attended school in Gomez and Brownfield. She married Jarvis Nowell on April 23, 1933, in Lovington, N.M., and she spent most of their marriage working with him at Claude Hutcherson Air Service. She was an avid reader and a lover of bridge. She was a member of South Plains Church of Christ in Lubbock. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy Doyle and Shirley Nowell; twin daughters and one son-in-law, Iris Nell and Jack Estes and Iva Dell Nowell; grandchildren and spouses, Kerry and Jo'Lyn Nowell, Stephanie and Bruce Arnold, Shelly Key, Randy and Lisa Estes and Kristi Bullard; 13 great-grandchildren, Jason, Jordan, Katie, Jamie, Abbie, John, Cassia, Patricia, Timothy, Ashley, Neal, Samantha and Bobby; and one great-great-grandchild, Trustin.
