Obituary

Graveside services for Raymon B. Nicholson, 63, of Ransom Canyon will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, 2007, at Hale Center Cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Cameron officiating. Burial arrangements are under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Hale Center, Texas. Mr. Nicholson died May 25, 2007, at his residence. He was born May 29, 1943, in Crosbyton, Texas. He married Elizabeth Imogene Payne on June 13, 1963, in Cotton Center. She died Sept. 1, 2006. He was employed with Paige Electric Company for 16 years. His donations and contributions with Paige Electric were instrumental in saving the lives of the Pennsylvania coal miners. Survivors include a daughter, Alisa and her husband John Ceniceros, and a granddaughter (special daughter), Leah Nicholson of Ransom Canyon, Texas; and a brother, Byron Nicholson of Lubbock, Texas. The family suggests memorial contributions be sent to the Hospice of Lubbock Poker Run.
