Obituary

Services for Francisco "Frankie" Negrete, 18, 710 Elm Street, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Pat Hoffman, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Lemons Funeral Home. Mr. Negrete died Friday in a swimming accident in the Rio Grande River. He was born Sept. 27, 1966 in Plainview. He was in vocational education at Planview High School and graduated from PHS in 1985. He had worked in Edinburg during September. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Survivors include his mother, Maria Negrete of Plainview; six sisters, Rosa Zivec of McAllen, Elvia Olivares, Ofelia Molina, Lupe Lopez, Alicia Negrete and Paula Negrete, all of Plainview; three brothers , Joe Negrete and Raymond Negrete of Plainview and Arnold Negrete of Lamar; and his grandmother, mrs. Lorenzo Guzman of Brownsville.
