Neely, Marvin Floyd,Sr., Mrs. (Zaida Edris Williams)

Graveside services for Zaida E. Neely, 96, of Janesville, Wis., former Plainview resident, will be Monday at 2 p.m. in Plainview Memorial Park with Dr. Max Browning, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating.

Burial arrangements are by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home. Schneider Funeral Directors handled Janesville arrangements.

Mrs. Neely died Monday, Feb. 26, 2001, in Beloit Health and Rehabilitation Center in Beloit, Wis.

She was born Oct. 5, 1904, in Gilmer, the daughter of the late James and Nora Stevenson Williams. She had lived most of her life in Plainview where she and her husband owned Hilton Cleaners and she worked as a seamstress. She moved to Milwaukee in 1994 with her son and from there to Janesville with her grandson.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church and enjoyed sewing and gardening.

On April 12, 1922 she married Marvin Neely in Sulpher Springs. He died in 1992.

Survivors include three grand-children, Jeff Neely of Appleton, Wis., Greg Neely of Umea, Sweden and Mike Neely of Janesville; a sister, Mildred Copp of Dumas; and four great-grandchildren.

A son, Marvin Neely Jr., and several brothers and sisters are deceased.

The family will be at Wood-Dunning Funeral Home Monday from 1:30-2p.m. to receive friends.
