Funeral services for Jewel Burton Neeley, 83, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Lemons Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Paul Cypert, pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home. Mrs. Neeley died Wednesday, May 10, 2006, in Covenant Hospital Plainview. She was born Aug. 9, 1922, in Anniston, Ala., to Earley Heath and Lidia Hulsey Heath. She married Gerald Neeley in 1984 in Whitney. She was a homemaker and attended Happy Union Baptist Church and Harvest Christian Fellowship. Survivors include her husband; four sons and two daughters-in-law, Randy and Patricia Neeley of Plainview, Mike and Louise Burton of San Antonio, Jerry Burton of Grand Prairie and Johnny Burton of Jacksonville, Fla.; one daughter and son-in-law, Margie and Brad Schultz of Booker; one brother, John Heath of Lubbock; one sister, Joyce Gentry of Atlanta, Ga.; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Her parents, former husband Claude Burton Sr., and son, Claude Burton Jr., are deceased.
