Obituary

Memorial services for Mae Helen Neal, 79, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Plainview Memorial Park with Helen Brooks, pastor of Outcast International Ministries, officiating. Arrangements are by Bartley Funeral Home of Plainview. The family will greet friends from 6-7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mrs. Neal died Friday, Nov. 3, 2006, at her residence. She was born April 15, 1927, in Marlin to Will and Dora Landrum. She married Sammy Neal in 1963 in Amherst. He died Aug. 22, 1997. She was raised a Methodist and took care of foster children. Survivors include five sons, Johnnie Landrum of Olton, Clarence Miller of Amarillo and Tommy Scott, Dexter Scott and Robert Scott, all of Plainview; three daughters, Maggie Landrum of Plainview, Rita Morris of Plano and Winifred Beasley of Beaumont; 43 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Her husband and one son, Charles White, are deceased.
