Obituary

Laura Amy Murrell, 32, passed away Sept. 12, 2010. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Msgr. Arturo Gonzales officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Lemons Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. today at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Laura was born May 8, 1978, to Juan Ramon and Lupe Luevano in Fort Worth, Texas. She married Londrae Lenell Murrell in June 2000 in Plainview. She worked as a caregiver for children. She was a talented artist who enjoyed doing portraits and wood work. Laura was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Laura was preceded in death by her grandparents, Elia Ybanes and Jose Luevano and Thomas and Luis Ramos. She is survived by her husband, Londrae Murrell of Smithville, Mo.; her parents, Ramon and Lupe Luevano of Plainview; her grandparents, Nicolasa and Julian Gallardo and Candelaria Ramos; her brother, Johnny Luevano of Smithville, Mo.; her sister, Lisa Catano and her husband, Graciel, of Wichita, Kan.; one niece, Samantha Catana; two nephews, Elijah Catano and Joshua Catano and his wife, Amanda; and two great-nieces, Kaylynn and AnnMarie Catano.
