Obituary

Norman Murray, 82, of Plainview died Saturday, March 10, 2012. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at Parklawn Memorial Gardens located at 1300 South Business I-27 with Dr. Tim Marrow officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mr. Murray was born June 4, 1929, in Salt Gap, Texas, to William and Mary Murray. He married Mary Fox on May 23, 1953, in Littlefield, Texas. Mr. Murray worked for The Hamby Company in Plainview for 30 years. He was active with Meals on Wheels, First United Methodist Church Prayer Breakfast Group and Road to Recovery Hospice. Mr. Murray was a member of First Baptist Church in Plainview. Norman is survived by his wife, Mary Murray of Plainview, Texas; one son, Kyndal Murray and wife, Kathy, of Wheeler, Texas; one daughter, Kym Norrell of Plainview, Texas; grandchildren, Brett Blenden of Killeen, Texas, Krista Marshall and husband, Steve, of Plainview, Texas, Derek Murray and wife, Jennifer of Amarillo, Texas, and Caleb Norrell of Plainview, Texas; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Glenn Norrell; two sisters; and three brothers. Memorials may be made to Area Community Hospice, 3109 Olton Rd. Ste.
