Obituary

Funeral Mass for Pedro Muniz, 51, of Plainview will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with the Rev. Reymundo Manriquez officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Lemons Funeral Home. A rosary service will be held at 6 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mr. Muniz died Thursday, Sept. 17, 2009, in Lubbock. He was born Aug. 9, 1958, to Celestino and Pauline Muniz in Artesia, N.M. He was employed by Azteca Milling. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Survivors, all of Plainview, include his father; three sons, Joshua Muniz, Timothy Muniz and Orlando Muniz; two daughters, Rosita Muniz and Alexis Muniz; two brothers, Johnny Ray Muniz and Jaime Muniz; one sister, Elsa Muniz; and 11 grandchildren. His mother is deceased.
