Obituary
Celebration of Life for Lois Mosley, 78, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Happy Union Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard Miller, pastor, conducting and the Rev. Willie Ansley Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Bartley Funeral Home of Plainview. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mrs. Mosley died Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2006. She was born Oct. 31, 1928, in Kenoy to Sam and Maebelle Hearn. She was raised by her father and stepmother, Martha Jane Hearn. She was a dietician and homemaker. She was a member of Happy Union Baptist Church where she was involved in the outreach, intercessory, kitchen ministry and women's mission. Survivors include two sons and two daughters-in-law, Lawrence and Etta Walker Jr. and Clyde and Maryland Walker Sr., all of Lockney; two daughters and one son-in-law, Susie Mae Crain of Houston and Tracy and Michael Black of Plainview; two brothers and one sister-in-law, J.W. Green of Plainview and George and Pam Hearn of Terrell; five sisters and one brother-in-law, Mary B. Bledsoe of Los Angeles, Arma Gentry of Denton, Rhodie and Herbert Stewart of Denver and Ruby Hearn and Florida Coleman, both of Plainview; six grandsons; four granddaughters; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Her parents; four brothers, James Hearn Sr., Odell Hearn, Nathaniel "Boots" Hearn and Jimmy Green; and three sisters, Betty Hearn, Mary Lee Whitten and Theldoris Hearn, are deceased. The family suggests memorials to Happy Union Baptist Church Building Fund, 219 E. Givens, Plainview, TX 79072.
