Obituary

Funeral services for John T. Mosley, 79, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Happy Union Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard Miller officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Bartley Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mr. Mosley died Thursday, Feb. 12, 2009, at Plainview HealthCare Center. He was born March 9, 1929, in Longstreet, La., to Frank and Caroline Mosley. He married Emma Marshall on Sept. 1, 1953, in Floydada. She died April 23, 2007. He moved to Plainview from Petersburg more than 40 years ago. He worked for Wendell Blankenship for 15 years. He was a member of Happy Union Baptist Church. Survivors include a special friend, Sandra White of Plainview; one son, John L. Mosley of Sherman; one brother and sister-in-law, Oscar and Celestine Mosley of Peoria, Ariz.; one brother-in-law, O.C.
