Obituary

Thelma Jean Morton, 73, Tahoka, died Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013. She was born Feb. 21, 1935, in Okemah, Okla., to Roy and Lillie (Holland) Morgan. She attended Plainview High School from 1947-50. Thelma married Denzil "Denny" Morton on Dec. 15, 1951, in Plainview. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter Retha S. Pittman and husband Barry of Tahoka; two grandchildren, two great-grandsons and 26 nieces and nephews. Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers and five sisters. Viewing will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today, Oct. 31, 2013, at Combest Family Funeral Homes in Tahoka.
