Morris, Dean, Mrs. (Linda Hamilton Lamphere)

Hamlin-- Funeral services for Linda Lamphere Morris, 63, of Plainview will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jerry Huggins and the Rev. Jeff Sedberry officiating.

Arrangements are by Foster-Adams Funeral Home.

Mrs. Morris died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2003, at her residence in Plainview.

She was born Aug. 24, 1940, in Snyder, the daughter of Roland H. and Blanch Bennett Hamilton. She graduated from Lamesa High School in 1957. She attended Eastern New Mexico University and received her bachelor's degree from Texas Tech University and her master's degree from Abilene Christian University. She moved to Hamlin in 1977 and taught from 1978-1987. She also owned and operated the Friends Shop from 1987 to 1995.

She moved to Dallas in 1996 and to Plainview in 1998.

She married Dennis Lamphere on March 25, 1961, in Lamesa. He died in 1996. She married Dean Morris on April 18, 1998.

Survivors include her husband, Dean, of Plainview; two sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Kim Lamphere of Atlanta, Ga., and Jess and Nancy Lamphere of Sulphur Springs; a brother, Elwood Hamilton of Lamesa; and three granddaughters.
