Obituary
CARROLLTON, Tex., Aug. 20 (AP) - Sam B. Moore, 19, of Plainview, was killed instantly aboard a freight train at Meadows, near here, last night.
Moore and Jack Ryan, a companion, had boarded the train at Dallas and were riding on a car loaded with bridge steel. At Meadows the steel slipped, and Moore's head was crushed. His companion jumped in time to escape injury.
The body was taken in charge by a Carrollton undertaker, but later it was transferred to Grapevine. It will be sent to Plainview tonight. Moore is survived by his widow and a two-month-old daughter.
