Obituary

Funeral services for Wanda Moon, 64, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with the Rev. Jim Ritter, pastor of Seth Ward Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Moon died Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2007, at B.S.A. Hospice in Amarillo. She was born April 22, 1943, in Plainview. She grew up in Plainview and graduated from Plainview High School. She owned and operated Snip and Clip Dog Groomers in Plainview for 23 years with her sister. She was a homemaker. She was a member of VFW Women's Auxiliary and worked with Special Olympics. She was a member of Cowboy Church in Amarillo. Survivors include one grandchild, Aaron Thurman of Amarillo; two nieces, Kimberly Moore and Jeannie Seagedy of Amarillo; and great-nieces and nephews. Her husband, Richard Moon; one daughter, Donna Thurman; two sons, Dale Wayne Thurman and Randy Thurman; and a sister, Carolyn Rogers, are deceased. The family suggests memorials to B.S.A. Hospice or Harrington Cancer Center.
