Obituary

Funeral services for Olive E. Moon, 99, will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Lemons Memorial Chapel with Dr. Max Browning, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Lemons Funeral Home. Mrs. Moon died at 7:51 a.m. Monday, Feb. 25, 2002, at her residence. She was born Nov. 30, 1902, in Versailles, Mo. She moved to Hale County in 1916 and attended schools in Prairieview and Plainview. She moved to a farm in the Halfway community in 1928 and farmed. On Dec. 15, 1928, she married Carol W. Moon in Lubbock. He died June 10, 1953. She and her husband were supporters of Cal Farley?s Boy?s Ranch in Amarillo. Survivors include two great-nephews, Bill Castor and Robert Castor, both of Lubbock; two great-nieces, Connie Arnold of Katy and Kathy Titsworth of Hamburg, Ark.; and a cousin, Altus Simpson of Florida. A brother, Omer Castor, is deceased.
