Moody, Patricia Dale Patty

Patricia Dale Patty Moody, age 82, went to be with The Lord on April 16, 2014, after an extended illness. She was born to Ernest and Martha Patty in Plainview on Dec. 20, 1931. She attended Plainview Public Schools and returned later as a kindergarten teacher's aide at College Hill Elementary. In 1991, she retired from La Mesa Elementary. Her friends were her coworkers, and she loved them dearly, but not more than the children whose lives she touched with her gentleness and dedication.

After retirement, she and her husband traveled together to Europe and were privileged to visit 47 of the lower 48 states, missing only Kentucky. Pat was an avid collector of many things and enjoyed browsing through old magazines, and cookbooks. She also enjoyed crocheting, reading, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Pat is survived by her husband of 59 years, Glen D. "Corky" Moody; daughter Patty Rachel Holsapple Joplin of Houston; daughter Sarah and husband Marvin Moore of Houston; 3 grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Brookside Funeral Home on April 21, 2014. Additional services will be held in Plainview at a future date.
