Clifford C. "Cliff" Monroe, 66, of Plainview passed away on Friday, Oct. 2, 2015, in Lubbock, Texas. Arrangements are under the personal care of Lemons Funeral Home of Plainview. Mr. Monroe was born on Jan. 7, 1949, in Paducah, Texas, to Manyard Clarence and Eulane Elizabeth (Jackson) Monroe. Cliff worked most of his years in the supermarket business. He was a very avid sports fan; he especially loved the Dallas Cowboys. Cliff loved fishing and spending time at the lake and watching westerns. When he wasn't having fun his family, he would tell you that he was working his tail off to take care of his family. He had a very special talent for working on cars which he passed on to both of his sons. Mr. Monroe is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; Lynn and Bobby and one sister Helen. He is survived by two sons, Matt M. and wife Rose of Hale Center, Texas, Michael L. and family of Amarillo, Texas; and one daughter, Meredith Ann Monroe of Plainview, Texas; two brothers, Jack Lee Monroe, Allen Joe Monroe; and one sister, Carolyn McCage. Pawpaw was also blessed with seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild
