Moncivais, Jose D.

Funeral services for Jose D. Moncivais, 89, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Bartley-Silva Memorial Chapel with Capt. Daniel New, Salvation Army officer, officiating.

Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens by Bartley-Silva Funeral Home.

Mr. Moncivais died Monday, April 16, 2001, at his residence. He was under Hospice care.

He had been self-employed plumber for 30 years.

Survivors include four sons, Jose Moncivais Jr., Arturo Moncivais and Abran Moncivais, all of San Antonio, and Felipe Escobar Jr., of Plainview; five daughters, Ofelia Vela of Del Rio, Mary Ester Amaya of Lockney, Juanita Torres of Plainview, Manuelita Chavez of Turkey and Genoveba Armendariz of Olney; two brothers, Alfonso Moncibais of Del Rio and Jesus Moncibais of San Antonio; one sister, Maria M. Garcia of Del Rio; 54 grandchildren; 75 great-grandchildren.

A son, Tomas Moncivais, is deceased.

The family suggests memorials to Hospice Hand of West Texas, 103 S. Main, Lockney, TX 79241.
