Obituary

Funeral Mass for Martina Mindieta, 66, of Hale Center will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Hale Center with the Rev. John Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Hale Center Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home and Flower Shop. A rosary service will be at 7:30 p.m. today at the church. Mrs. Mindieta died Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at her residence. She was born Dec. 5, 1944, in Natalia. She married Gregorio "George" Mindieta on July 4, 1962, in Post. She moved to Hale Center in 1989 and was a member of St. Theresa's Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband; three sons, Ricky Mindieta of Amarillo and Gregorio Mindieta III and Mario Mindieta, both of Hale Center; one daughter, Lisa Mindieta of Lubbock; four sisters, Cuca Gutierrez, Helen Bocanegra, Gregoria Fuentes and Mary Lou Martinez; one brother, Octlabano Espinoza; and six grandchildren.
