Funeral services for William Douglas ?Bill? Mills, 73, will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Wood-Dunning Colonial Chapel with Dr. Travis Hart, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home.

Mr. Mills died at 10:02 p.m. Wednesday, May 19, 1999, in Covenant Medical Center Lubbock.

He was born Sept. 21, 1925, in Anson. He moved to Plainview in 1942 from Brownfield. He served with the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. He returned to Plainview and worked for many years for Maggard-Nall Motor Co., as body shop manager. He owned and operated the B&K Body Shop.

He was a member of the Plainview Bass Club and was an avid fisherman. He also had coached the Golden Gloves Boxing Team for many years.

Survivors include two daughters, Kara Lynn Mills of Tucson, Ariz., and Cheryl Denise Mills of Plainview; and three grandchildren.

A brother, Glenn Mills, died Nov. 29, 1998.
