Obituary

Services for Daniel Webster Miller, 57, of Abernathy will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Church of the Nazarene with the Revs. W.R. Bolton and C.C. Peoples officiating.

Burial will be in Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy.

He died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2001.

He was born Feb. 9, 1944, in Aspermont. He moved to Abernathy in 1964 and married Coleen Mathis on Oct. 16, 1965, in Aspermont. He was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church. He was an umpire and a member of the USSSA.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Russell of Austin; two daughters, Sarah Sheppard of Longview and La Christa Jones of West Melbourne, Fla.; three brothers, Lee Norman of Odessa, Glover Miller Jr. of Aspermont and Harold Miller of Abernathy; four sisters, Ester Ruth Bennett of Hawley, Ella Sue Johnson of Pecos and Betty Sneed and Nancy Hines, both of Dallas; and two grandchildren.
