Obituary

Services for Cecil O. Miller, 87, of Lubbock will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Lemons Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Don Robertson, pastor of College Heights Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens by Lemons Funeral Home. He died at 7:45 a.m. Friday, March 15, 2002, in Lakeridge Nursing Home in Lubbock. Mr. Miller was born Feb. 1, 1915, in Caddo, Okla. He also had lived in Hale Center and Plainview before moving to Lubbock in 1953. Survivors include three daughters, Dorothy Sykes of Plainview, Alma Durrett of Lubbock and Debra Thompkins of Hollis, Okla.; a son, Bobby of Lubbock; a sister, Dorothy James of Wynnewood, Okla.; 17 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
