Obituary

Funeral Mass for Guadalupe Medina, 63, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with the Rev. Raymundo Manriquez, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home. Mrs. Medina died Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009, in Lubbock. She was born Dec. 12, 1945, to Joe Ruiz and Josefina Carranza in Asherton. She married Natividad "Frank" Medina on Dec. 14, 1963, in Plainview. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Danny Medina and Frank Medina Jr. and his wife, Dalia, all of Plainview; one daughter, Betsy Maldonado and husband, Bobby, of Plainview; two brothers, Joe Ruiz of Hereford and Jimmy Ruiz of Amarillo; five sisters, Mary Rangel of Plainview, Vera Pena, Delia Vigil and Janie Frausto, all of Hereford, and Dora Pesqueda of San Antonio; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
